Treatments Offered

At Deep Roots Integrative Medicine, we get to the root of your health concerns through a balance of tools and treatment strategies:

consult 6Naturopathic Functional Medicine —

You have probably seen a lot of doctors in your life and may be curious about what makes a naturopathic doctor unique.  Like medical doctors, naturopathic doctors (ND’s) attend a four year medical program and are nationally certified. We are trained in physical and laboratory diagnosis similar to medical doctors.  In addition, we study alternative healing systems, including botanical medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, Chinese medicine, Ayurveda and musculoskeletal therapies such as craniosacral therapy.  Our approach to treatment is holistic, meaning that we take into account the entire person, not just the disease that person is suffering from.  For more information on my Naturopathic training, please visit the website of Bastyr University.

Acupuncture 1Acupuncture & Acupressure — Restoring balance and cohesion.

Do you ever feel like you just need to hit the reset button? Acupuncture corrects structural and energetic imbalances through balancing the flow of qi, or energy in the body.  This is done by inserting very small needles into the skin.  Most people feel little or no pain, and find the treatment extremely relaxing.  For children, and those sensitive to needles, acupressure is also very effective.  Acupressure involves manually pressing on specific points on the body.

The style of acupuncture that I practice is a combination of Five Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine.  My acupuncture practice is heavily influenced by my study and apprenticeship with Thea Elijah.

Guided self acupressure sessions are available via telemedicine.

cranal sacralNaturopathic Physical Medicine  — Hands on help for profound relief.

Naturopathic physical medicine is a gentle form of body work that re-balances energy and corrects structural imbalances.  This therapy is profoundly relaxing.  It can be done as a separate treatment or as part of an acupuncture session.

Spiritual Healing Accessing the deep levels of health and healing

My spiritual teacher is fond of saying that some diseases are physical, some are spiritual, and most are both.  If we choose to look at illnesses from a spiritual perspective, it can unlock profound levels of healing.  Spiritual healing is a gentle and deeply transformative process.  During a session we use meditation and prayer practices to connect you with divine love and bring healing into the areas in your body or your life that are in pain.
